loved it! Fun, sexy, and suspenseful!

I loved, loved, loved this book! The combination of the small town's charm and suspense was so fun! The writing is excellent, and the mystery kept me flipping the pages. I want a bad boy Maddox for my own, even if he does have a bit of baggage. I couldn't put this book down, especially as the story felt so real. My heart broke for Josie while she dealt with her grandfather's illness. I was so glad she got her happy ending! 5 Stars!

Great book.... love Sosie's work!

I love Sosie's books and immediately downloaded this book when I receive her email saying it was live and finished it in a day... and this book was as great as the last two! I highly recommend this book and I can’t wait for more!!! I loved Maddox because he's different from most bad boys in books, because he wasn’t your typical "man-whore who sleeps with everyone around town and then meets the girl and drastically changes" guy. Don’t get me wrong those guys are fun too (think Jack Carson from Bad Boy's Baby) but....Maddox was the "I fell I love a long time ago before I left and I'm coming to get back what's mine, no matter what guy" and the first scene between Maddox and Josie proves he's that guy (loved that scene.. what a way to come home)!! I'm not sure how I feel about Josie, I think she was the perfect opposite for Maddox in this story but she didn’t make me want to be Team Josie. I'm not sure if it's how naïve she seemed, or how hypocritical on things she seems (I mean let’s get mad he because has a secret but you had two (one was implied a few times but not explained further which seemed disappointing!). But again she balanced out Maddox’s character well, in my opinion.
One of the things I enjoy most about Sosie's books, is that she does a great job telling stories with romance, heartbreak (I feel the pain at points) and suspense , but she includes a small element of something different that you don’t find a lot…diversity. Her characters are interracial couples, who aside from the story’s plot, face a small bit of adversity because of their relationship. And while the ethnicity of the characters doesn’t matter and is not the focal point, it may or may not linger with you in the back of your mind as you read the stories and as other characters are developed in the story. Then Sosie creates this small moment of reality, where your reminded that he’s an ivory king and she’s a mocha queen, and it’s still a tough thing for some people to see together and accept, but in the end love is color blind and it’s only love that matters!!! It’s a small moment in each of her books, that most may not recognize it or read much into it, but as a bi-racial reader, I love those small additions to the stories.

What an awesome romance!

I loved this story! This book is so different from the usual romantic suspenses out there. It has a bit of humor from the little town of Saint Christie, but a lot of darkness on the inside. I loved sweet Josie, but Maddox stole my heart. They both wanted to do the right thing and protect the other, but they just needed each other in the end! Great writing, awesome mystery, and ridiculously sexy love scenes. I highly recommend it!
