Never would have thought a druglord and a lawyer would make such a powerhouse of a couple.....Thrilling read!!!

When I seen this in my email as a new read by Alexa...to say I was excited was an understatement. I love Alexa and her writing style. She always comes up with phenomenal storylines ....this being a true example. Never in my mind did I expect a lawyer and a druglord as a couple. Well done Alexa on another suprising, thrilling book.
Brooke and Dax= Exploding
When Brooke meets Dax in a bar sparks explode between them and they both are left with thoughts of each other that neither expected. Dax has to leave but makes plans to meet with her for dinner the next day. Brooke gives him a shell shocking conversation when he calls the next day...making Dax extremely agitated with Brooke but yet mesmerized and turned on by her bluntness and boldness. He has never met a women like Brooke and simply can't get enough of her. Sparks fly between these two and they become closer in the days after their first meeting. Brooke has no idea though the secrets Dax holds. Dax wants everything with Brooke but is afraid if she finds out the whole truth that she will want nothing to do with him and the scares him because he has felt nothing like this with another woman.
Dax's lawyer is killed and sends his life in a world wind. He is then made as a prime suspect and gets arrested and asks for Brooke to be called. Brooke is beside herself with news from her brother about what kind of man Dax is and the life he lives and she is quiet surprised when she is called in to be his lawyer. She stands tall and goes in showing how good she is as a lawyer and gets the truth from Dax himself. He gives in and understands that if he isn't honest with her and doesn't tell her everything he could go to prison for a crime he didn't commit. So he spills all his secrets.....Dax's vulnerability is exciting in this book and shows that even as powerful as someone like him he has vulnerability and has weak moments where he has to ask for help. Brooke shows him how bold she is and what a powerhouse she is....making him realize she is a female version of himself and he can't believe it. He literally has never met a woman like her and this makes him fall for her even more. Brooke is determined to show Dax's innocence in all this and goes to great lengths to prove it. She has feelings for him but realizes by his honesty that he really had no part in the murder of his lawyer. They become even closer through this by supporting each other and standing by each other.
I loved this story. I loved how it wasn't just a normal billionaire romance. The depth of this book was phenomenal. Highly recommended read. Couldn't get enough....wanted more. Wish it was a series instead of standalone.

Drama + Chemistry = Must Read!

Well done Alexa Davis! The “Billionaire’s Trust” was such an exciting book! There is just enough sexual chemistry and drama going on that you want to keep turning the page. The sparks between Dax Malone and Brooke Raines reminds me of a strip of gun powder leading to a keg that explodes when the smoke trails hits the end! Dax is one of the biggest drug lords in LA while Brooke is an upcoming criminal lawyer trying to get her business off the ground. The two meet in a bar and the chemistry is explosive! Dax invites Brooke out to dinner and she tries to keep things professional because she needs his business to keep paying the bills.
In the meantime, there is someone trying to sabotage Dax’s business and life. Shipments are not right; Beck (Dax’s brother) is getting drugs from who knows where; and his business lawyer, Lydia Banks, is missing…..that is until her body shows up in Marina Del Rey. Now, he has become a murder suspect and he obtains Brooke as his new lawyer. This only complicates matters because now the real murderer is after Brooke.
I enjoyed the fact of how well Alexa Davis kept the story line moving and you really don’t figure out who the murderer/saboteur is until almost the end. Dax ends up saving Brooke and her colleague, Roger, but it gets him a trip to the hospital. When he wakes up, he tells Brooke how he feels about her. I love the fact that there is an epilogue that takes Dax and Brooke into their new lives together. Dax is willing to change his ways and leave the drug world while Brooke’s business has taken off after defending Dax. This is a fabulous book and a definite recommended must read! Received an ARC for an honest review.

Did not want to stop reading the book!

I loved the characters Dax and Brooke. Was nice to have a lot of background to both major characters but would have liked them to become more involved earlier in the book. Have not gotten this involved in a book that i did not want to stop reading for a long time. Kind of wish that this wasn't a stand alone book as did not want the story to end. Another home run Alexa.
