Well, after reading the book I can tell you that I was captivated by this extremely honest transgender story. “Becoming Lisa: A Transgender Journey” is a very powerful story and a must read for anyone wanting to learn more about the transgender community. As soon as I started reading this book I realized very quickly that this is an uncommonly honest and raw book. Lisa Alexandra has done an incredible job of giving the reader a very candid look at her life and all the steps along the way during her passage to Lisa. I don’t want to give away too many details about this book because people need to read this fascinating story and take this exceedingly personal journey with the author for themselves. Lisa Alexandra has a fantastic writing style describing life events so vividly that I found myself being drawn right into her story. This book tells about the transition of Lee to Lisa. It documents it. However, this book could’ve been better if there were a lot more pictures. This book is lacking in a lot of pictures. That is why this book is a disappointment in some ways.
