Helpful Primer

An excellent primer on the political philosophy of John Rawls. Graham focuses on Rawls's most famous work, The Theory of Justice , but does this within a larger effort to summarize and critique Rawls's entire corpus. Issues given special attention are the "original position" and the "difference principle." I wouldn't call this a good primer on political philosophy in general, but it does serve well to introduce Rawls and his most prominent interlocutors (e.g., Nozick, Cohen, Sandel, Dworkin, Habermas). There's also a helpful glossary at the back with concise, helpful definitions of common terms.
Recommended for those seeking an introduction to Rawlsian political liberalism and also for those wanting to get their feet wet before diving into the works of Rawls himself.
